South Australian Museum Opal Mine Exhibition

ES undertook to design and construct an Opal Mine Exhibition for the SA Museum to re-create an underground experience within a Coober Pedy mine. The key aim was to provide visitors the impression of an actual opal mine and the feel of being enclosed and underground. The replication of the 120sqm fibre glass surface mine re-creates an organic, sculpted mine with the inclusion of excavation machining markings in the walls and ceiling.
