Ballarat Clarendon College
A Vertical Laboratory (V-Lab) was designed and fabricated by ES. We worked extensively with the principal architect during the buildings development to ensure future flexibility. The 9 metre high V-Lab allows secondary students to operate from three levels in the laboratory, where they measure and observe a range of experiments which are linked to the College’s science curriculum and include investigating gravity & space, forces & effects and physics & mechanics.
Materials included clear acrylic and a combination of PVC pipe. The frame was made from extruded aluminium with an anodise finish, to ensure longevity and low maintenance.
