SAPOL Academy Artwork
As part of the SAPOL Police Academy redevelopment Exhibition Studios (in association with Cheesman Architects) was commissioned to design, develop and construct this prominent exterior artwork.
The Entry Statement Artwork is a large steel sculpture prominently located as a symbolic gateway. Three circular forms represent the relationship between the community, the police service and the individual. While each abstracted element of the sculpture is inherent with meaning the joining of these elements reveals a harmony in their interaction, both physically and symbolically.
