SAPOL Academy Memorial
As part of the SAPOL Police Academy redevelopment Exhibition Studios (in association with Cheesman Architects) was commissioned to design, develop and construct this prominent exterior installation.
The Police Memorial is a salient but subtle tribute to South Australian police officers who have lost their lives in the line of service. An ‘honour guard’ of stencilled steel images of police officers, directs the viewer to the central memorial plaques. The memorial panels play with the light, reflecting the changing environment inviting rumination and contemplation.
