Phasing X-Rays Haptic Workbench
CSIRO Discovery, Canberra
Haptic technology gives users tactile feedback in virtual environments. Equipment using this technology allows users to ‘feel’ virtual objects as they are encountered.
Haptic technology, for which the CSIRO has developed software, has applications in many industries including the medical and mining sectors.
The Haptic Workbench allows visitors to use this technology to manipulate a virtual “Solar System” and see how the technology allows real interaction with virtual objects.
